My early experiences using Twitter was in ninth grade. I used to follow my friends on Twitter and soon everyone in my school was on Twitter. In the future, Twitter would be helpful in order to make announcements about upcoming events. In my opinion, I believe that Twitter is a good platform for news and other information that you can't find on the internet. I followed the president from the beginning of his campaign until the end and I learned so much about the government through his series of tweets. I believe the freedom of speech that Twitter gives someone allows people to know more about the world around them.
The digital divide affects student success in school because it separates age groups and social classes in my opinion. In learning, the goal is to learn from someone older than you in order to understand the importance of the transference of wisdom. Under the rise of social media and the rise of expensive smartphones people are more into watching the videos on their screens than paying attention to teachers and lecturers. Because of this divide, in my opinion, people will learn differently and teachers may soon find it more challenging to relate to children since this phenomenon has only begun in recent years. Short attention spans from cell-phones are the most evident is one of the most obvious observations in the modern generation of school students.
In my future classroom, I want smartboards. The software tools I expect to use in my future classroom would be Microsoft and Google OS. I like Google OS because it is simple and easy to use. I think that by using Google OS students will have an easier time learning how to type and internet safety. Microsoft, in my opinion, is the best platform for young students to use because it has excel and other things that young entrepreneurs will need to know how to use once they leave school and enter the job world. It is necessary to train young brains on how to use tools that will need for their own companies as well as working for different companies.
